As Yataş Group, while expanding our store network across Turkey, we are well aware that choosing a good location alone is no longer enough. It was during this search that we crossed paths with Next Geo. We first started using the Location Analysis Web solution. A Growing Journey with MR.DIY: Towards the 200th Store
MR.DIY began its journey in July 2005 as a small hardware store on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Today, with its extensive store network in countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, India, Turkey, Spain, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Poland, it has become one of the largest home improvement and household goods retailers in the world.
MR.DIY opened its first store in Turkey in November 2021 and reached 170 stores as of August 2025.
On this journey of 170 stores:
Our 1st store was at Ümraniye Meydan Mall,
Our 50th store was at Bodrum Shop & Go Mall,
Our 100th store was at Istanbul Canpark Mall,
Our 150th store was at Antalya Agora Mall.
Now we are eagerly awaiting our 200th store!
While growing with the goal of opening 60 new stores each year, accurate and sustainable location selection forms the foundation of our strategy. Accessing the right data is critical for us with our average 600 m² store concept. At this point, NextGeo guides us as our solution partner.
