A GOOD BRIEF
Four things in your message decide how useful our first reply is.
You do not need all four. Writing down the ones you have turns the first conversation from “what do you do” into your actual question.
Sector
The question a retailer asks is not the question a fuel network asks. Name your sector; the data set and the model start there.
Scope
One candidate site, one district, or a branch network across the country? Knowing how many candidate locations we are talking about shortens everything.
Data you hold
Sales history, customer addresses, your current branch list, POS data… Telling us what exists is enough; you do not have to share it at this stage.
Output you want
A map, a report, a scored shortlist of candidates, or a service that plugs into your own systems? The shape of the output decides the solution.
If you know none of the four, that is fine — “we are opening a store in this district” is enough to start. We will fill in the rest together.
